Localization

Localization

BUPA Rental is fully localized through ox_lib's locale system. The manifest declares ox_lib 'locale', and the same JSON files in locales/ feed both the Lua backend and the React interface — so notifications and UI text always match.

Setting the language

The language is chosen globally with the ox:locale convar in your server.cfg:

server.cfg
setr ox:locale "tr"

Change "tr" to any supported code below. If a key is missing in the selected language, it falls back to English.

Available languages

Code Language
en English (fallback)
tr Turkish
de German
fr French
es Spanish
pt Portuguese
it Italian
ru Russian
ar Arabic
pl Polish
nl Dutch
cs Czech

That's 12 languages, each as a locales/<code>.json file loaded by ox_lib.

Adding or editing strings

  • Edit the relevant locales/<code>.json file to change wording.
  • To add a new language, copy locales/en.json, translate the values, and save it as locales/<code>.json, then set setr ox:locale "<code>".
  • Keep the keys identical across files — missing keys fall back to English automatically.

Because the UI is fed from lib.getLocales() on the server, you don't rebuild the React app to change translations — just edit the JSON and restart the resource.
